The least you could do is give this guy a nice new DEagle and maybe a baby DEagle for the wife. While we are at it, i will gladly take one as well. The video was made public January 2009 and within 1 week there were over 3 million views. David has done a number of TV shows and the family has setup a site to sell T-Shirts and other merchandise. According to an NPR interviewD.A.D has made over $25k for the family. You can also follow D.A.D on twitter.

What Has Happened Since?: Wiki snub, International Party Business, Cover Band, Big Brother TV Appearance and T-Shirts…

Most teens fold their macho attitudes when they get caught. You had your fun, now it is time to play dumb and say you are sorry. Not Corey, he apologizes but refuses to play dumb. He already knows word is out and now is not the time to lose his party cred. What does the reporter really expect? She is interviewing a shirtless 16 y/o with a fur lined coat, nipple ring, oversized sunglasses and some crazy hat. Stupid reporter now she looks like a fool. Its is bad enough she only has the job because she is attractive, but now she has some punk teen putting her in her place too. I am sure she earned lots of respect from the actual journalists in the newsroom.

Corey parlayed his 15 minutes into a couple of tshirt deals and a few party headlining events. Who knows how much money he has made thus far. I am sure it is not life changing money. But it has got to be a fun ride. He is releasing a Beastie Boys cover. He made a cameo on Big Brother. Looks like the attention isnt all positive. Wikipedia refuses to allow him an entry because they are too reputable a reference source to have him in their archives. Finally, Corey gets caught on tape fighting. Neither kid can claim victory, but we can only assume the other guy doesnt like d-bags.

What Has Happened Since?: Meh…

That boy has grown into an older boy and has accomplished nothing of interest in his life. Poor Jonathon Ware of Milwaukie, Oregon may be lost to the internets by the time he is old enough to capitalize on his fame. In the follow-up video below, you can see some shirts with his face on them. Those shirts dont seem to exist anymore, so maybe his family has got an ace up their sleeve. All you can get are these. Hey i understand selling out, we are all just average people, it is ok for us to sell out. But dont go around talking about how important the song is to you. What Has Happened Since?: A real music video and big money contests….

Maybe i was misleading on that what has happened since teaser. Gary is in a new music video, but it isnt his. It’s Weezer’s “Pork and Beans”, but hey it is something. As for the contest, according to the site NewNuma Gary and some partners he picked up along the way had a contest for people to make and send in there own videos of the new numa song. It is hard to imagine that Gary wasnt able to get more out of his 15 minutes, but at least he did it gracefully and seemed to enjoy himself along the way.

What Has Happened Since?: Plea Deals Galore….

According to this local paper. One of the defendants has just pleaded guilty and the others are soon to follow. It looks like the judge is going to go pretty easy on them. Probation, community service and apology letters seems to be the recipe for payback.

What Has Happened Since: MMA champion???  Probably not since he is on this site…

I think i may have taken a few too many liberties with the MMA superstar. Kimbo was signed to fight with EliteXC. EliteXC is not the premiere MMA organization but rather a 2nd or 3rd tier outfit. Anyways, EliteXC basically build a couple of shows entirely around Kimbo and essentially bet the whole company on his success. After Kimbo is served a couple of tomato cans all is well and he is really paying off for the fledgling MMA organization. At his last fight in October 2008 his opponent, Ken Shamrock is medically disqualified just a few hours before the fight. IN a last minute decision Shamrock is replaced by a Smoothie King owner named Seth_Petruzelli. Well i dont want to spoil it for you so here is a video of the action.

Editor’s Notes: EliteXC filed for bankruptcy shortly after the fight. It is actually pretty disapointing, EliteXC may not be the biggest game in town, but they were making progress in bringing MMA to the mainstream. The shows were a little too much like TV Wrestling, but they were still very entertaining. I am sad that Kimbo is gone, even if he was over hyped we all still want to see him fight. I want to see him go down because the fighter was better than him, not because of one well placed punch.

What Has Happened Since? : Kind of what you expect i suppose…..

Jud has run the major media circuit and has been discussed all over the tubes. Looking into this guy’s back story is like reading about Youtube itself. Apparently, had it not been for Jud there would be no such thing as viral videos no youtube and the US would have fallen to Canada. The one real crazy thing about this is he doesnt seem to be making any huge amounts of money. His website has some shirts for sale and the FAQ page talks about him getting a dvd together. It has been almost 3 years now, if you cant cash in quick i guess you cant cash in. Fortunately, it looks like you can book him for performances for $11,000, but then again why pay $11k for one guy when you can get a whole comedy group for $15k?
